Abstract

This study aims to determine the students’ mathematical reasoning abilities after learning using the PMRI and LSLC is done approach to the material of number patterns in class VIII. This type of research is descriptive. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII.2 Junior High School 1 Palembang amounting to 32 students. Data collection techniques used were observations, giving test questions amounted to 3 questions in the  form  of  descriptions,  and  interviews.  After  doing  this  research,  the  result  showed  that  students’ mathematical reasoning abilities of students class VIII.2 in material of number patterns has emerged even though there are still students who do not show indicators of their mathematical reasoning abilities. The indicator that appears the most is the indicator submittin a guess on question number 1 and the most rare indicator that appears is the indicator draws logical conclusions on question number 3.
